Abstract
Municipal road and bridge engineering constitutes the core of urban infrastructure. Its quality directly relates to the efficiency of urban traffic operation and is closely linked to public travel safety. As the fundamental guarantee for project quality, the inspection and control of material quality must cover the entire project construction cycle. This research clarifies the significant importance of material quality inspection and control, identifies current practical problems such as lagging detection technologies, inadequate implementation of systems, and lack of whole-cycle control. Subsequently, targeted optimization strategies are proposed from three aspects: upgrading inspection technologies, improving management systems, and constructing a whole-cycle control mechanism, aiming to provide references for enhancing the level of material quality inspection and control in municipal road and bridge engineering.
