Abstract
This article focuses on the role transformation and professional ability improvement of college counselors under the multi-psychological support system. With the increasing complexity of college students' mental health problems, the construction of multiple psychological support system is imminent. Under this background, it is of great significance to deeply analyze the role transformation and ability improvement path of college counselors in this system. Through investigation and analysis, this article finds that the traditional role of college counselors has limitations in dealing with students' mental health problems, such as lack of professional knowledge and skills. In order to meet the needs of multiple psychological support systems, counselors need to transform their roles into mental health educators, psychological crisis intervention coordinators, and students' psychological growth companions, and improve their professional abilities through ways such as upgrading professional knowledge reserves, cultivating practical skills, and self-growth and reflection. This study provides a useful reference for strengthening mental health education in colleges and universities and promoting students' all-round development.
