Abstract
Morley Callaghan adopts a superb art of contrast in his short story "Two Fishermen", conveying rich meanings by simple language. Through the analysis of the application of contrast in the scenes, characterization, psychological situations and symbols, this paper explores the moral dilemma, social role, human relationship and other themes expressed in this short story.
