Design of Training Platform for the Internet of Things Based on CDIO

With the development of the Internet of Things industry, the demand for IoT application talents is increasing, but the existing resources are challenging to help students improve their practical ability effectively. So the work designed an IoT training platform to solve the problem. The platform integrates the CDIO concept and adopts the IoT classic framework, including the perception layer, the network layer, and the application layer. We applied these technologies to design it, including sensors, ZigBee, Wi-Fi, Java, and Web. We did some functional and performance tests to verify its feasibility by taking smart home projects as an example. The platform makes sense in the teaching of the IoT course due to its convenient design and reliable operation.
