Abstract
Under rapid industrialization and urbanization, Land consolidation is an effective land management tool used to achieve sustainable development in China. This paper designed to reveal the key issues of rural sustainable development and explain how to land consolidation affect rural sustainable development in China and put forward some policy suggestion. We found that land property, land-use change, land fragmentation, labor force migration, and urban-rural inequality are the key factors that affect rural sustainable development in China. So, we suggest that policymakers should strength land registration and certification to provide a more reliable land property. At the same time promoting mortgage and land use transfer right of contracted land is crucial.
