Abstract
Chinese oil painting is a combination of traditional Chinese painting and western oil painting. It not only integrates the art of western culture, but also embodies the nationalization of Chinese oil painting. Nationalization of Chinese oil painting has always been a topic discussed by theorists and painters. Today, when facing oil painting works, we not only have no strangeness, but also have some pickiness in the evaluation. We are eager to see the real sense of Chinese oil painting. Freehand brushwork is a special vocabulary of Chinese traditional painting, which contains deep humanism spirit and literati aesthetic taste. The development and positioning of Chinese oil paintings has become the focus of today's oil painters. Only Chinese oil paintings based on the characteristics of their own cultures can develop well, and the orientation is crucial. This paper will analyze and discuss the freehand oil painting based on the regional cultural context.
