Abstract

This paper analyses the current situation of English education in higher vocational colleges from the aspects of the curriculum system, the teaching methods, the assessment system, the textbooks and the characteristics of the students' English learning. It also finds out the causes of the existing problems, and puts forward some constructive suggestions and reform schemes based on the above situation, which are of great significance to the sound development of English education in higher vocational colleges.
